                                  CAMP DESCRIPTIONS:

Counsellors in Training Experience (completed grades 9 and up)
Formerly Known as Leadership Camp; this camp is combines senior teen camp with Beaver camp. During Training the CIT's (counsellors in training) will attend workshops and learn the basics of being a camp counsellor, including leadership, team building and instructing techniques. After that the CIT's will have 3 days of hands on experience working with the youngest level of camper before being able to return as a volunteer for the remainder of the summer. Once successfully completed, CIT's are able to return the following year as junior counsellors.

                                  Beaver (Completed kindergarten, grades 1 & 2)
This is a small and friendly camp to introduce children to residential camping. Youngsters will spend their days playing on the beach, singing songs, participating in games and making nature crafts. Beaver camp is a wonderful opportunity for children to gain independence and make new friends! Parent volunteers are especially welcome, although rest assured our CIT's will be eagerly on hand to assist the well prepared staff.

                                  Junior Camp (Completed grades 4, 5 & 6)
This outdoor adventure camp is great for all those who enjoy fun in the sun and making new friends. Time to break loose and try some new things, such as ‘mud-walking’ along the lakeshore and an overnight out of the cabin. From canoeing and swimming to games and crafts…this camp has it all!

                                  Family Retreat Weekend (all ages)
An opportunity for you and your family and friends to experience a taste of camp together. We have scheduled this short camp to fit with average work schedules so that the main program begins Friday night, concluding on the holiday Monday afternoon. Your registration will include use of a cabin, food and our optional programming so you can get the full vacation you deserve. Programs are dependant on volunteers and may include canoeing, nature walks, games, crafts, swimming and music as well as our classic evening program of campfire and vespers. We hope your family will join our society and alumni members for a summer camping experience like no other.

TEVA Week  (Completed Kindergarten to grade 12)
Meaning "Nature", Teva is our new combined camp for all grades Kindergarten to Grade 12. By providing families the opportunity to send all children to camp at the same time, parents will be able to more easily manage summer vacation schedules and even get a break from all the kids in the house. Program will be consistent with our mission and values, following the theme and schedule from every other summer camp week. We hope, in the future, to offer more of these mixed age camps, if successful. Note; this camp has a double-week option for those needing more time away from home.

Survival Camp (Completed grades 6 to 12)
Learn to survive in the wilderness of Alberta's Northern Boreal Forest that encompasses Sang Lake. This camp will include many outdoor adventures, not to mention multiple off-site overnights. Hone your canoeing skills, shelter building, fire craft, and team work in just 5 days. You'll never want to be inside again. This camp is great for both nature lovers as well as Survivorman wannabes.
